Veteran-Run, Kindness-Driven

KRUMPOP is a veteran-run, home-based food business dedicated to spreading kindness and joy through creative styles of kettle corn, popcorn, and confections. Chef Michael Edwards brings decades of culinary mastery to every batch.

His journey began in the United States Navy, where he served as a Culinary Specialist First Class and earned the prestigious title of Armed Forces Chef of the Year — a recognition awarded to chefs demonstrating exceptional skill, creativity, and leadership.

From preparing elegant meals for senior leadership aboard aircraft carriers to being featured on NPR's "How Low Can You Go," Michael's career has been defined by discipline, imagination, and heart. Today, he channels that expertise into KRUMPOP — creating small-batch kettlecorn and confections using traditional kettle-popping methods and quality ingredients.
